I know this has been asked before, but I am trying to get a clear answer on my question.
I have just moved jobs from within the warehouse, but still part of the same employer, the job I was moved too was on a different grade (currently on Grade
and the new job is a grade A (lower) Can they lower my wages based on this?

What is the background to you being moved - is it to avoid a redundancy or was it for a disciplinary reason etc?
How long have you worked there? Does your contract say anything about the employer's ability to move you around?0 -
Impossible to say without knowing why you moved jobs0

MIght be just me but isn't a grade A better than a grade B
Do you actually knw you are getting less moneymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
The grades start at A £6.50 then get better, B to C to D
My manager told me cus I can't do something in my new job I was to be downgraded, I said you can't do that, she said Watch me, Went to speak with the boss and I think he said what I was saying, it can't be done.
See I am a grade B based on my ability to do my other job not this new one, so I can't see how they can just downgrade me, it doesn't seem right. Isn't there a law about this.
I though the only way you can have your wages decreased is if the company is in a really bad state that if you don't cut wages it will be forced to close and only then must be a majority vote in favor of everyone. If you like what I have done why not say thanks by clicking the like button in my post

Cutting an employee’s pay without agreement
Sadly for employers, employment law dictates that workers’ pay can only be cut with their express agreement. This is because an employee’s level of pay must form part of their employment contract (which could be written, oral or implied by the actions of you and the employee) so reducing their pay would amount to a variation of contract which you cannot do unless the employee agrees.
If you try and cut their pay without their say so, this would amount to a breach of contract and they will be able to walk out of their job and take you to employment tribunal with a claim for constructive dismissal. The tribunal could either tell you to reemploy the claimant on their original level of pay and/ or order you to pay compensation and damages. If you like what I have done why not say thanks by clicking the like button in my post

It entirely depends on what you mean by it can't be done. It has been done so they obviously can do it! The question is - what are you prepared to risk to do something about it? In the first instance you would have to submit a grievance, and if you loose that, and appeal. Only then can you take it to tribunal.0

Take that advice and you will be out of a job and on the losing side of a tribunal. Constructive dismissal cases can only be claimed after you have exhausted the employers intyernal procedures, and are likely to lose anyway.0
