If you live anywhere near a school or college - ask them about exam invigilation - I am an Exams Officer in a 6th Form college - we have just finished our January series but there are also external exams in March, May/June, and November as well as various language orals and practicals throughout the year. You have to be CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked (the school undertakes this) and you won't be given a huge number of hours - but the pay is reasonable (our school pays just over £7 per hour - each school is different). Most schools offer a training session for new invigilators - my partner does invigilation - fitting it around his shifts, he makes a nice regular sum out of it.

What are your hobbies? Do you drive? Do you currently work? Do you have any talents? Are you wanting work from home? Do you have children? Can you rely on babysitters?

Need more info before I can a long list of ideas. Been there - done that, tried my hands at a lot of things! Which I worked around my job at the time, and also had family to help babysit if need be

    Debt collecting
Homework - which included collating leaflets together and banding them up
Steward at the local football ground
    Avon
    Ironing
Design my own designs and selling them to a stationary shop for them to use on their letterheads, cards, etc...
Handcraft - make my own cards and re-sell to family / friends
    Ebay, car boots
Homework - input data and email to the company!

    What about mystery shopping?

A little imagination and the world is your oyster.

  • To add a bit more info......
    • I already have a second part time job (and a full time one)
    • I have sold everything surplus on eBay
    • I don't have long hair!!
    • I already do some mystery shopping
I am looking for something to fit into my limited spare time.

I like the sound of this, how would I go about getting into it???

are you joined up with quidco, mutual points, pigsback etc. These all pay money or points (which go towards vouchers), for clicking through to sites (you don't have to buy anything)
Also lightspeed and other survey sites. Again you get paid in points or cash depending on the site.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
