Love Nerja... where's similar?

  • Conil is a lovely spanish seaside town in Southern Spain. We went at Easter and didn't hear one other english voice, though it was definitely a holiday place.

Fly into Jerez, Gibraltar or Malaga.

  • Try Palamos on the Costa Brava been going for 12 years ! We always stay on a private part of the Kings Camping site in a caravan .

The latest is looking like flying into Gibraltar then a week in Sabinillas, a week in la cala de mijas, a week in nerja then flying from malaga.

    This is likely to change!

I love the research part, and enjoying hearing recommendations. I feel this itinerary is more realistic on public transport but would love time in a city such as seville and granada but am unsure how child friendly they are
  • stayed at Salobrena which is not far from nerja and we loved it really old spanish feel

Update (As it annoys me when you give advise then don't hear what happens!)

We are flying to Malaga and doing 4 nights in Salobrena- as recommended.
Then a week in la Herradura.
    Then a week in Nerja.
    3 days in Malaga.

Hopefully this will scratch our itch and not involve hours on public transport in the heat of August

I wish I had seen your post earlier,I would have suggested Mojacar on the Costa Almeria,it like Nerja has its own micro climate and is split into 2 parts, the pueblo on the hill (very Spanish) and the playa a good mix of nationalities

    I  MOJACAR
