Credit card owners list - where to find?

hey there

i have a vague memory of a list of credit card companies and who owns what, i.e. if i want to apply for a credit card i shouldn't apply to 'A' card as there sister company 'B' card has already rejected me.

i can't find it any where. can anyone provide a link.

hope this makes sense - my brain is a bit sluggish at the mo!
