  • It may be a good idea to open a coop cashminder acount - in my area when you go BR - the coop leave the account alone.. the ORs are ok with this account and dont look t freezing it if it is where the incme is going..

May be a good idea to contact your local OR office and ask what their plicy is... They are generally helpful and nice people so dont be afraind to phne them and ask questions..

This way - you could open the a/c and set up your household DDs from this a/c...

I have a nationwide account at the moment which they said I could keep but my DDs would be cancelled. Don't really want to set up another account if I can help it as Nationwide have been pretty good and are very convenient as they have a branch n town which the co-op don't.

Just spoken to the OR regarding acount. he said to open an account after BR. My concern is, will it be up and running by the time of my next pay? Any idea how long it takes for an application to go through?

try to go bankrupt the day after pay day so you have the whole month to sort out a new bank and to get your salary rediredted.
or get you salary rediredcted into a trusted persons bank a/c (parent?)
or ask your employer to pay you by cheque for a month

I phoned Payroll, they said it had to be by 1st of the month to get in for next month (why so early i don't know) so my plan is to get pay on 20th, clean out account by 22nd and go to court same day and if need be apply for a new co-op account same or next day and hopefully get it by 29th in time for payroll.. That's the plan anyway. Not sure whether I could be paid by cheque and payroll would want to know why anyway and I don't want them to know
