Wedding Post Box help needed!!

Advice please ladies &gents...

I've just made a postbox for our evening party celebrating our recent wedding..!

I've done it red so it's very obviously a post box...

So, should I decorate it as such, ie Royal Mail sign, collection times etc.

Or, as it's obviously a post box do I just go with a 'thanks for coming... Please put any cards in here' kinda informal sign?

Thanks in advance of your comments & ideas!! X

I'm thinking it will go on the table with the wishing tree, cupcakes etc (I know... Large table required!) so it might also prompt people to sign the tags & decorate the tree too? I live in hope (lol!)

What did you make yours out of? It recently dawned on me that I will need somewhere for cards and recipes, but I'm not very crafty. Any suggestions ? :)

I'm thinking about buying something like this. We're asking for vouchers instead of gifts, so something lockable, but still kind of weddingy, would be preferable (not that I distrust any guests, just paranoid!)

I bought a white metal one off eBay as well and decorated it in our wedding colours :)

Really handy for keeping all the cards etc together (no issues with any slipping off the pile and under the table) and a lot easier to carry at the end of the night!

Ours just said Wedding Post Box on it - I didn't bother with a thank you. Everyone got a thank you card after the wedding. :)

Just one thing with the metal ones - we had about 50 cards and it was absolutely stuffed full. So depending on how many guests you have it might not be big enough...

Just a big postbox shaped box, covered in red paper and with a slot cut out! Sounds very boring but its actually quite effective! I will see if I can get a pic ...
