Hi, I hoping someone will be able to help me. My Brownie group need to make things to sell at the local christmas fair and im sure I saw flannel reindeers on here somewhere. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction of photos, how to make them etc.
Also can anyone recommend the cheapest place to get hold of 20+ flannels soap etc...at a cheap price as I need to keep costs as low as possible. Thanks

I'm making the reindeers for the first time this year. Flannels are 80p for 4 in ikea - providing you don't want brown! They have yellow, grey, blue & green. Anyone seen any dark brown flannels for less than £1? I need them for chocolate swiss rolls. I bought a pack of 4 soaps from Sainsburys for £1, I think. Unfortunately the ingredients weren't on the individual packets, only on the outside wrapper, so I will have to print them on labels to attach to the reindeers.
I found the instructions here: http://susanscraftycorner.blogspot.com/2010/10/mr-mrs-reindeer-flannel.html (thanks susan)0 -
Wilkinsons is where I usually get flannels from but the brown ones I got from Home bargains I think mine were 50p each0

i got flannells from dunelm mill - brown ones for 49p!0

I also got flannels from dunelm and from wilkinsons ranged from 29p - 49p for brown and beige
soaps I get from the £1 shop they do a pack of 4 for a £1 and they sometimes get the packs with the 2 extra free
Just a side note, because i got worried about the pipe cleaners and their super sharp edges (one scratch drew blood) I cut antlers out of thick brown card and stuck them infront of the ears with double sided tape

Wilkinson's seem to have stopped selling brown flannels, since they changed from 3 in a pack to 2 in a pack. I looked in Dunelm in Weston when I was there last and couldn't find any cheap ones, but I see they are listed online - so I will order 'reserve at store' as I'm going again next week. Thanks. The 63p reduced ones look lovely & thick, but unfortunately they aren't in stock at my nearest store.0

Having just read the thread titled " Cheap gift baskets - H&M", I used the codes mentioned to order 8 packs of 4 brown face cloths for £10.82 delivered, which equates to about 34p each. Problem solved for a while!

I use an elastic band, stick the antlers using my finger to make a hole in the ear (the elastic band allows this) and poking it in the hole - hope this makes sense. I then cover the elastic band with some curling ribbon.0 -
I put my antlers in place the tie the ribbon around so the ribbon holds them thereI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0

I wrap the pipecleaner round and twist to hold the ears together, then the two ends become the antlers. Another pipecleaner cut into 4, is twisted on to form the 'prongs' (or whatever they are called on antlers!). I fold back about half a cm on the end of each 'prong', to stop them being so sharp.
Sorry the photo comes out huge.0
