Tesco - upcoming change of policy on vouchers

Apologies if this is already about somewhere - I did do a search and couldn't find it.

The SA who served me this morning mentioned the fact that, from Monday onwards, Tesco will no longer accept their competitors "£X off £XX spend" vouchers. I was using a Sainsburys £3 off £20 one at the time hence the reason she mentioned it - but she also said that in her opinion they ought to be publicising it a little more.

Hope that helps avoid someone getting caught out with a trolley full of shopping and a voucher that won't scan!

  • I was also told the same thing this morning when I used a Waitrose £5 off a £30 shop voucher. She said it finishes at the end of the month.

There is a £5 off a £30 shop at Tesco voucher in Today's Sun!

I was also told this morning. I used co-op £6 off a £30 shop voucher but had two coupons spent just over £60 so used both got £12 off £60. Will miss Tesco stopping this. Does Sainsburys still let us use other coupons
  • TBH I thought they'd stopped doing this yonks ago, they've taken the signs down at my local Mr T

I used my asda price guarantee vouchers at tesco today and the till wouldn't scan them. I had to pay and then go and get a refund at customer services. Looks like they have reprogrammed their tills too early
