Warrington - Retail Parks
Am having an shopping trip to Warrington soon to a Retail Park - its the one that has Mothercare on it. Just wondered what other shops were on it and what is nearby that is worth visiting (on a budget!). Also going to Ikea as I believe its only 5 minutes up the road - last time I went there was an M&S there - is this only a small one or does it have everything a normaly one has? Is there many shops near this?
Sorry for all the questions - just trying to be ultra organised and plan my day and money accordingly!
Sorry if this is in the wrong place!

The M&S next door to Ikea in Warrington is HUGE and has everything - clothes, food, home furnishings, the works. Has a nice cafe too. Toys'R'Us and Next and Boots and Martin Dawes across the road as well. Within easy driving distance is matalan, an enormous Tesco Extra and Halfords - can't remember what else is around there now but that sounds like a full day's mooching about in Warrington to me!Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you do criticise him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.0

The others shops by Mothercare are a curtain shop (can't remember the name) Hobbycraft, PC world, Currys, First Choice Hypermarket, Pizza Hut and KFC and Car Phone Warehouse!
Have fun!0 -
On the retail park that has Mothercare on (Alban Retail Park) - there isn't much else that's really interesting:
Hobby Craft
PC World
Currys
Halfords
Carpet Right
Carphone Warehouse
KFC
Pizza Hut
Holiday Hypermarket
Gemini Retail Park is where M&S, (Currency,Technology,Food,Clothes,Furniture), IKEA, Next, Toys R US, Boots, MCDonalds are.
As gooismeid says M&S and IKEA are huge!
Hope you're not going there at a weekend as with so many well known shops it does get rather busy!0 -
Hey thanks for that guys, sounds like a lot of shopping (or browsing once have spent all my money!) to be done and bargains to be found!Weight Loss - 102lb0

Could someone tell me how to get to the other retail area with Hobbycraft etc on it? We get onto Gemini Retail via the entrance by M&S and I have no idea where the other shops (except IKEA) are in relation!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Alban retail park (with Hobbycraft etc) is on the A49, Winwick Rd. Easiest is to leave the M62 at J9 (coming from Liverpool would have the B&Q on your left), Stay on the right and go right at the roundabout. Straight across at next roundabout (big Fiat warehouse over on your right). Stay in right-hand lane and go right at next roundabout. Entrance is a short way down on the right. If you have the IKEA catalogue, it is where the writing on the map says "A49 Warrington).
From there, come out of car park, turn left to the roundabout, left onto the A49 (keep speed down to 40), left at next roundabout into Cromwell Ave, straight on across 1 roundabout, then right at the next (next to ToysRus) and straight up to Ikea. And at the weekend spend the next few hours trying to park!
Next across from Ikea is fairly large, and Boots is compact. M&S is huge.0 -
Just found this thread doing a search on Warrington shopping. We are going to Gullivers on 21st but going down day before to do some shopping. We usually go to Cheshire Oaks but thought we might try Warrington for a change. I would appreciate any advice on best shopping centre etc as we've never been into Warrington before! Not after anything in particular just a bit of (pref cheap) retail therapy!!0

all the above is still relevant and being at Gullivers you are a stones throw from Gemini retail park. Now though we also have a really nice Mall in the centre of town (Golden Square) so head in and have a nosey there too0

Stick to Cheshire Oaks!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

Cheshire oaks?! lol.....nah Warrington has got a new shopping centre now with debenhams and that, not much different to the trafford centre tho. And more coffee shops than you can shake a stick at (rhode island is the best
