Love2shop vouchers advice please

Hi all, I've searched the forum on this subject, but couldn't find a definitive answer to my question, so here goes...

My girlfriend recently bought me some love2shop vouchers, however they don't seem to be accepted in stores that I wish to use them in.

So I was thinking, I noticed Birthdays and Clinton Cards etc take the vouchers, and they also sell those gift cards for various stores such as Amazon etc.

Would it be possible to pay for one of those cards with my love2shop vouchers, in effect swapping them for a gift card? Anyone ever done this before?
