Alba Life endownment

Hello fellow monysavers,
New member here, have been reading this site and email for some time but now realy need your help.

I have used the standard which letter and sent out to alba life for my mothers endownment policy which is not on track to pay out for the projected amount. They have replied saying that they are not going to pay as they have been highlighting this fact for some years and that i am over rthe time limit to claim.
Now is this true about the time limit?
what else can i do, mu mother only showed me these letters a year ago and i have only acted now, does that make a difference.

The "timebar" starts from the first "red Letter" received stating there will be a shortfall and lasts for 3 years. There should also have been a warning about making a complaint within the period also.

When did your mother receive these alert letters?
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

Yes. There is a time bar in place for complaints about endowments. As long as the time bar has been correctly implemented, then its too late.

She should have acted on them over 3 years ago when she was first told.

Unless there is good grounds for you not doing it within the timebar (i.e. in hospital in a coma for 2 years) then it wont be overturned if its a valid time bar.
