Putting here as only applies to NI

Installed the new phone app at beginning of week and have used it a few times .

Very handy as another way to buy electricity, I usually top up online and then print recielpt so I can put number into keypad.

With the app the number is on screen so saves me turning pc and printer on lol

You can also set it up for " quickpay" so it remembers you premises number, payment details etc so next time you just log in with details you creat and only think you have to add then is amount and number off back of card, quick and easy.

** only problem I had was getting it to accept a passwork I created but got it sorted, neededs to be numbers and latters but first letter a Capital**

Based on PowerNI prices the app will get plenty of use, that's for sure..................
  • Hi

Thought I'd just ask you guys that are using PAYG electricity- is it worthwhile?

We just got a letter saying based on our usage that our monthly DD needs to go up. I find the monthly DD a bit hard to follow so thought PAYG would be simpler and not much difference in the % savings.

I would not have it any otehr way except payg. Always had a prepay meter then when we moved to this house in 2000 decided to go for monthly DD intead, after 2 years changed back to prepay as first year DD was to much then second year the company changed the anount and it was not enough so ended up what we owed at each bill was creeping up so changed back to prepaid.

Each payday first thing I do is top it up , do not even think twice about it and one less dd to worry about

But at the end of day are you not still paying the same?
Although I'm still thinking of payg because my dd has gone up.

Yes but easier to budget when payg and no nasty surprises if DD increased
