Why? What are they going to do instead? Is this another case of attracting the 'top talent'? They are nothing but a bunch of overrated chancers. If they want to go then let them, there are more than enough who could do the job(they could hardly perform worse) for a fraction of the salary. This is the principle that those at the lower end have to suffer so why not those who are getting megabucks?
It's up to shareholders to address whether or not companies are overpaid. I agree with Thrug re remuneration committees etc, but bigger investors, pension funds etc, should definitely demand service commensurate with pay.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Good to see that we are all in it together, looks like boom time is with us again with these vastly increased pay rises, surely no chance of a double dip when private industry are increasing profit bonuses so
