New Bank Account

Hi everyone, my wife and I have faced up to our mounting debt problems and have arranged a DMP via our local Credit Union. We received a letter from our bank where we have a loan and few direct debits set up asking us to return our bank cards, cheque books and switch all of our direct debits to another account.

Can anyone here recommend another bank that would allow us to set up a standard current account so we can set the direct debits up from it?

It depends on where you bank now and have debts - you don't want to open a new bank account with anyone who is linked with any of these.

Barclays and the Co-op are good but it will depend on the above.
