Don't fly off the handle, I'm sure no offense was meant. It would help because your long paragraph is written as one very long sentence which does make it very difficult to read. Some people may give up before they have finished reading it.

If you are not getting any joy from your manager, you need to file a grievance with the HR department. Do you know who deals with all the hiring/firing/discipline issues? That is generally the person you also need to see to log a grievance.
You had me at your proper use of "you're".

It would have helped - it's very difficult to read what you are saying and if people can't read what you are saying then they won't bother to respond. Since responses are what you want - it would have helped you.

Write to your employer and complain about not having been paid the money. That is all a grievance is.

It would have helped me read your post. As it is I can't be bothered, especially with that attitude.

Sar El, I am scared to challenge you because you usually give such great advice, but isn't a grievance a bit more than this?

My belief is that it would help to send a letter headed 'grievance', describing the situation. (If you simply hit the enter key twice at the end of every sentence, it would make the original post much easier to read - and this could form the grievance). At the end of the letter, say

I would appreciate it if you could send a copy of the company's grievance procedure with this letter, and let me know if there is anything else I need to do to comply with this procedure.

I'm just trying to make it easier for the company, who do seem incredibly inefficient and pretty stupid, as well as for the OP!

PS - John - if their failure to pay you has involved you in any costs, perhaps because of bank charges because it's made you go overdrawn, tell them about these as well, and ask for reimbursement.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • All sorted now they said will be in my bank between 3-5pm. thanks to those who gave the advice I informed them that that was my intention. Within an hour they phoned back to say they will pay.

And I do not have attitude I had not long woke up I’m sure most people are sloppy with their grammar when they just wake up. As or not being able to read it that made me laugh so much, actually cheered me up a bit :). Don't know how full stops or lack of prevents someone from reading. And that is not me being funny towards you that’s me just me thinking if you don't have anything helpful or advice and just want to point out peoples grammar mistakes why bother. I came to the site for help not lessons.

    .

Actually no it really isn't. There is clear case law on this. An employer must treat any complaint whether verbal or in writing as a grievance, and if they do not do so they open themselves to legal action on the subject of the complaint. There is no requirement to even mention the word grievance. Of course, as with anything else, a verbal complaint is much harder to evidence, so writing is always the best way.
