I use mine when I do my shopping in Tesco's. If you want to use them in Asda to get presents just do your shopping at the same time and they should take them.

Waitrose and Boots definitely take them. They say on the back that M&S and McD's take them too, but they don't! I prefer having the vouchers - feels more exciting than getting a paypal payment!January 2012 GC £296.96/£3000

All the major supermarkets take them - it says which retailers on the back of the voucher book.
I only ever had one problem and that was just once - in Sainsburys. The check out girl swore blind they could only take them for lunches. She got a supervisor who didn't know either. It was later confirmed by customer services that they did take them at the till. Just for the hell of it I felt like making them run my shopping through again but with the vouchers.
Ever since then I have gone for checkouts with older staff - people who are more likely to know what they are about

I have accumulated about £25 in these, we tried them in McDonald's they eventually took them after asking the manager, larger boots have been ok but my local does not sell food, sainsbury's have never seen them so i said don't worry so not to cause a fuss.
I will have to try tesco with my shopping, would like to go to pizza express or somewhere for a meal but not sure i can face paying in £1 and 50p vouchers for a £25 meal!!Owner of a cute cottage in the North York Moors :j0 -
Log in to the Pinecone website and ask to be paid by Paypal, if you would prefer it. I did this because I found (ludicrously) so much difficulty in spending the luncheon vouchers- in Tesco the checkout operator queried them and said she'd never seen them before so she had to call a supervisor who said I could only use 2 vouchers this time and Costa said they don't take them at all. I just couldn't be bothered with them in the end and prefer to be paid cash anyway.0

well Mrs Money i might end up doing that, but as another poster said, i prefer the vouchers it feels like a free meal when you pay in vouchers, paypal would just get frittered awayOwner of a cute cottage in the North York Moors :j0
