Tesco normally price match the next day, you could always phone them and see.

Just incase no one had thought of it, and please dont shoot me!
But last year I bought from Tesco direct with my doubled up coupons. I wanted a camera but cameras werent included so I bought 2 items on the same order. 1 being the camera I wanted and the other being an item included on the double up list for the same price as the camera. I paid half (the half included) by double up coupons and the camera half by card. Then returned the half included and as they dont check what you paid with what for on a single order was able to get a refund for that item i.e. made the camera buyable with the coupons! HTH

I don't think TV's are included, they fall under home entertainment (which is not on the list) not small electrical appliances (kettle, toaster etc).

Did you return the item via post or to a store? I can see them making that mistake in a store, but I wonder if they'd do so if you mailed it back? We can't get to a big Tesco, so if we tried this we'd have to mail back the item we weren't keeping.

And say, for instance, I just had 100 quid of doubled-up vouchers to put toward a TV that cost 200 quid. So I would buy the 200 quid tv and pay the full amount on card, then use the 100 quid of vouchers on a 100 quid included item. Then return the included item worth 100, but I would get refunded the money to a card, so in effect only paid 100 in cash for the TV and 100 in vouchers? Hmm, interesting idea. Not sure I have the nerve to do it as it might not work, lol.

We ordered a 'phone on the last double up. didn't realise they were locked to Tesco for 12 months and already had a sim package. Returned it to store unopened and was refunded on my card. No question re double up. Don't know how else they can refund really and we must be allowed to return things under the distance selling rules.

I ordered a iPod dock last time with £30 of vouchers (so dock cost £60).

I cancelled it near enough straight away as I changed my mind. I phoned them, they cancelled the order before despatch and refunded £60 into my bank account.

    I was shocked!
