Hi Guys,
I really some advise please.... so Im looking at starting my own Keepsake company as I just love the idea and im quite a crafty and arty person and it would just fit well with my family life, though im unsure which route to take.....
Im a Army wife who lives on camp and there is a real strong community, every week there is always some kind of sales party ie. Avon, Ann Summers etc etc but nothing for keepsakes now ive asked around and everyone that i have spoken to at tots/nursery etc etc said its a fab idea ( main reason this is a great idea as everyone on camp has kids, also these keepsakes would be fab for when the men go on tour) so im just trying to work out what route is best to get started, ive been in contact with one company and they are asking for no start up costs, i just need to pay for the inkless wipes which are about £ 20, they basically have sent me a brochure of all the items they do and what their trade price is, they have said I can sell the items for what ever I like! So for example a plated foot print jewellery is £15 trade price, so i would sell at maybe £25( which is still cheap in this type of work) all i do is email is the orders through and sent the ink print off they then make it and send it back.they have said I can use their brochure etc etc and i decide how much i want to upsell the items, now ive also been in contact with another company who do want a start up amount of £50 though this comes with:
1 handmade item ordered by a client and you as the agent receive - £5
2 items ordered by a client you receive - £7
3 items £9
4 items £12
5 items £15
6 items £18
7 items £22
what is your views? which is better, any advise if great thank you
