    Does the benefit figure you have stated include child benefit, child tax credits?

    Make sure you look at turn2us.com, its a benefit calculator and see if you are getting everything you are entitled too.

    You have made a huge step today by posting here, your debt isn't going to disappear overnight, but with the help of the peeps on here, you will get the support you need to help you along your journey.

    Have you looked at the CCCS website, a debt charity, they have a wealth of knowledge and are free to use, they are certainly worth looking at.

    Is your home rented? Or owned? If owned, do you have equity (not suggesting remortgaging, it rarely works). Just trying to get a fuller picture of your situation.
