  • Condoms (free from a gay bar or family planning clinic) , guide book, disposable camera or cheap digital. Sunglasses, aftersun lotion. Alka Seltzer? :rotfl:

    How old is your son?

How about a little first aid kit? It's much cheaper if you make your own up so you could just have a little box with plasters, paracetamol, antiseptic wipes, insect bite cream etc.
Also, a toiletries bag and some nice new toiletries: body wash, shampoo, flannel or sponge, toothbrush in a travel holder, toothpaste, hair gel if he uses it.
Ooh, also a hat in a style you know he'll wear.

  • Beach towel would probably be useful as well.

Rehydration sashets are good for hangovers and upset tummies.

I never go anywhere without vacuum bags like these They are great for dirty washing and damp things as they are sealed in. Also great for squashing down fleeces and towels.

Insect repellant! Aloe after sun, spare currency. Oh yeah, plenty of condoms, sorry!
