Section 106 - Fixed Rate ending soon

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone could give me a little advice.

In December our 5 Year fixed rate section 106 mortgage is coming to an end.

Knowing literally nothing about mortgages, I presume that this means I can look around for the best mortgage available and change without being charged an early repayment fee?

The question is, does anyone know who are offering 106 mortgages (when we took it out there were only a few banks offering them) and which is best?

Ideally I'm looking to get into another fixed rate for 5 or so years. Whilst I've been paying over the odds for the last couple of years, at least I've known that I can pay the mortgage each month.

Firstly its worth checking what your existing lender has to offer, and what interest rate your existing mortgage will move onto.
