I've learned from this not to use Staples unless there is a glitch! It's a bit crap how they don't include vat in the prices unless you click on something, and they add that insurance rather sneakily at checkout. And their prices on many things are outrageous.

I was charged vat but only on the postage & packaging not on the actual tea bags.

My checkout has included VAT on hot choc and Oreos. Both are zero rated. (I've not actually paid anything yet. Does it change when you get to pay details?

its dosnt include the vat on stuff i notice. its still worth it. i order 1 tin of chocolates 2 juices and a bag of mixed chocolates came to £3 odd worth it. couldnt aford much chocolate this xmas but now i got it all. very happy thanks

Very pleased to buy colour print cartridge for less than half price as have been putting off for ages (previous cheapest I could find was £25). Ordered padded envelopes and copy paper to take just over £30. Total £14.44 + VAT. Thanks OP!

Are you sure they are zero rated? Although still food I would class them as luxuries not necessities.

Any idea how hard it is to return to store? I bought an item last night, didn't realize how to get the maximum benefits of codes, and repurchased it this morning for less money and with added items as well, so I'll need to return the original one. I'll just have to be out the delivery fee on the first order, but it still works out cheaper.
