My sister is currently using invisilign (?) to straighten her crooked top teeth and she says its a miserable experience. I know my own dentist says one of his colleageues is now offering a system which straightens the teeth in about 3 months rather than the 18 months she has been quoted for the invisilign.

Im sorry but I dont think £1500 will go far with a private cosmetic dentist. My chap does have a loan company which can cover treatment, which I guess could be an option?

I had caps on my top 6 teeth nearly 5 years ago now because they were not only wonky but most of them had had root treatment at some time. And as toothsmith has said :) it definitely changed my life for the better, the caps look absolutely natural and match perfectly - but it was not a cheap job.

He needs to go for a consultation to find out the options and the costs and if he smokes, then he should stop immediately. My dentist told me bluntly when I first saw him that Id be throwing the money down the drain if I continued to smoke - it did me a favour actually as I packed up after 40 years and have saved a lot more than the cost of the cosmetic work.

Good luck whatever he decides, its obviously a concern to him.
