I want to buy a book which is going to be release on 1st Feb.

How long is takes to receive their club card?

Can you use printed voucher from internet and get the points, if you order online for store pick up?

Do you think there will be the same price in the store that online?

Many thanks for your help in advance!!!

  • If it is not a popular title that will be stocked in store then it will probably cost the same to order it in from instore as it does to order from the website.

My advise is to wait for your club card, then order in store using the 200 oints on £5 voucher - I do not think you get the points if you order online as you have to pay online, not pay when you collect.
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!

^when you order online im sure you can put in a clubcard number, if you dont have the clubcard by then dont think they will put points on afterwards, when i worked for them a couple of years ago they midway changed it so points couldnt be added after a transaction

I checked the price of a book I wanted in store after checking online as well. The book had an RRP of £18, it was £16 to order instore and I paid £8 ordering online for collection in store to avoid paying delivery costs. Check online costs before ordering in store.

There is a magazine thread I believe with the new WHSmith voucher until March (think its the magazines freebies thread)- be weary, I gave one to the assistant who threw it under him after the transaction, and didn't put the points on, so held up the queue while he put them on, WHSmiths card isn't really worth it without the vouchers!

You could try https://www.123pricecheck.co.uk as it does a search of all the major stores and websites including postage
