Hi first time poster and not sure what to expect but here goes, iam 32 years old married with no kids i am currently not copeing with debts of around £31000 these consisit of over draft bank loans two credit cards and loan from family.
To say its a mess is a under statment i have missed last months payments on my bank loan £398 a month i currently have not paid the min payment on one of my credit cards for the past 3 months only paying them a token payment each month the other loan is up to date as is the credit card just but the loan from family member £7000 has not been repaid after i promised to start paying them a year ago.
My over draft is £1600 my loan from that bank is £1000 the loan from my previuse bank is £13000 my credit card is £7000 my other credit card is £2100 we currently rent our house all utility bills councal tax etc etc are paid i make sure all these bills are paid so we can keep a roof over our head, but the problem is the debts and my chances of getting on the property ladder.
Next week i have a oppointment with cccs to try and sort out these debts of mine i am willing to pay and want to pay them off but the current situation is i cant afford to pay back the minimum payments, iam now 32 years old my wife and i want children we also want our own home but with this scale of debt is stopping us.
I have also stopped paying into my pension coz the demand letters i got from creditors i needed to pay off arrers i feel i have let my wife down in so many ways and dont know what to do all i want from life now is to be able to provide secruity for my family i hope one day i will be able to do this.0 -
