Clearing my Credit Record

Since reading this thread, I have applied for the free on-line Experian report. Trouble is, it tells me pretty much nothing.
I have went to view full report, and printed off a copy. The only information it gives me is under Electoral roll information where it has three entries, E1, E2 and E3. E1 has local authority name, my address and my name and date (10/04 which is wrong if it means how long i have been at address) . E2 has part of the address, without the flat number, and says no names listed on voters roll. E3 has local authority name, my previous address and my name and date (10/01 to 08/04 which is correct if it means how long i was at address).
The only other entries are under Financial Associations and these all seem to be regarding me using credit expert report.
All other sections read no data was retrieved for this section.
I am sure there should be more info than this about both me and my partner. Where am I going wrong??
Thanks
Tic.
Ps: Just noticed they have my name down as Mrs instead of Mr. Could this be the problem?0 -
They have a freephone number for members, I used it this morning, I had to hold for ages but hey it was free anyway. The guy on the other end was very helpful and told me everything I needed to do, you could try phoning them to see what is going on?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

The reason why you need to contact all 3 credit reference agencies is because they all hold different data. Different creditors use different Credit Reference Agencies, so you may have a loan that shows up with Equifax but not with Experian. By getting all 3 credit files you know exactly what information is held about you.Debt is not the be all and end all. There is always a solution!0

This may be slightly off topic but -- Why the hell do we have to pay to see info held about ourselves!!! Surely this isn't right, I have thought this for a very long time but people say to me it's an admin fee.....? Admin fee? £2 - £10...50p I could understand but £10 + whatever extra to get your actual score, I think this is ridiculous...how can one go about voicing their opinion over this? Is there an organisation that feels the same way or anything?if i had known then what i know now0

I have to agree with an earlier post stating that Notice Of Corrections are not compatible with the majority of automated credit checks used by 90% of companies including all high street lenders.
The only companies it may be useful with are the specialist (sub-prime) lenders that use human judgement instead of a computer programme to determine credit worthiness.
I'm afraid that unless the information is incorrect, in which case you can have it removed for free, you'll have to wait until the account information expires (3-6 years dependent in its content).
Sorry for the negetive info!0
