Christmas Cards

So, as the title suggests, what do you guys generally do about Christmas cards?

My family is absolutely huge, so it means buying endless Christmas cards. Works out pretty expensive when they're a good £2.50 per card. I'd rather steer clear of those multi-pack boxes you get, they're good for friends and colleagues but for family you want something a bit nicer.

I've been looking around and Vista Print do a pack of 10 personalised Christmas cards for £3.50 - I've not really considered something like that before, but that works out as 35p per card! And they look really nice.

I guess a lot of you guys make your cards, looking through the card-making ideas thread :)

I would recommend you sign up for their offers at Vistaprint.
I regularly get emails with offers for 10 free cards in, so you only have to pay postage. If you can allow for the slowest postage (up to 28 days but the majority of things come much sooner than this) then this can save you considerably, and the quality is really good.

It may well work out cheapest to put in multiple orders for 10 free cards and pay the separate postage charges rather than place one order for a larger number of cards :money:
  • You could try Hallmark outlet if you have one near by. I know you said you don't want boxes of cards, but the Forever Friends ones from there were gorgeous, and looked really expensive, but only cost £2.50 for 20 (I think). They were as good quality as the ones you buy seperately.

I make most of my cards now. The only exception is work mates and DDs school friends as I don't have time to make 60 cards on top of the 20 for family and close friends!

I got some of my families in the sales but the rest I have got from Funky Pigeon. Using a mix of referals, free promotions and half price cards I haven't had too spend much this year at all, I have even got some birthday cards.
