Mortgage application timescale

Hi
Im waiting on my buyers mortgage application being approved before misives can be concluded.its been 6-7 weeks now.their solicitor said 2 wks ago they were wait loans papers.
Still no sign.should i be worried?.

Hi,
I don't have any answers for you, but I do sympathise. We are in week nine and are still waiting for the buyers official mortgage offer. Neither of us have a chain so we thought this would be a quick sale.
Our estate agent does not have an issue with this and says it can be between 8-12 weeks for a sale/purchase to be completed.
Sorry I can't help but I just wanted you to know that you are not the only one going through this.0
