Just had the following quote from my local solar panel company.

Which I thought would share with you.

11 Bisol 250 panels + Sunnyboy 2500 HIF - £10.7k fully installed.

12 Sanyo HIT 250WP Sunnyboy 2500 HIF - £12.8K fully installed.

I think this too expensive. Would appreciate any thoughts please.

They both seem a bit high to me. Im having tesco system fitted 3.3KW for £10,500, some people in these forums seem to do better than that. Hybrid panels can produce your type of price if there is a very limited roof space looking at the efficiency of the sanyo panels I suspect this may be the case. not sure about the bisol though. Could you give a estimate of your roof space. Im having 18 x sharp NU185 panels fitted which measure 1318x994mm each and produce 3.33kWp.

I agree those quoted costs seem to be too high. Should certainly be paying sub £10k for a system of that size. I am now getting quotes of sub £10k for a 4kw system. Prices have come down quite significantly recently - although many installers are still trying to charge the old (higher) prices.
