Hi all,
Seems i have got myself into a bit of debt.
I have spent a fair bit of money over the past couple of months, and to be honest i dont know what i have bought.
I've spent £8000 of my own money, and got a £10,000 loan which i have now spent all of that.
I have a credit card - £200 limit - maxxed out.
I have a few things on buy now pay later but i have time to sort that out thankfully.
I have 4 mobile phone contracts (£70 a month in total)
Anyway, im writing this because i need help. I have been in touch with Debt free direct (as seen on the telly) and they are doing a payment plan for me.
I have £14 to my name, luckily all of my direct debits have come out of my bank for this month, but i dont get paid until the 31st Jan and on the 28th i'm expected to go and work in Bluewater (£11 return ticket a day) which isn't going to happen.
How can i source some money until i get paid, and what other advice have you guys got?
Cheers,
Andy

Hello Aruffell, welcome to the forum on Mse,first thing to do is complile your SOA (state of affairs) other folk on here can help you with advice when you know yourself your income and outgoings usually on a monthly basis.
looks like you have had a mini light bulb moment and its time to start getting a plan formed to tackle your own situation.
People do find this difficult but we are here to help not judge you.

firstly don't go with debt free direct (they will charge you for a DMP) ... post a full SOA here or contact CCCS or Payplan who will give you free advice.
can you ask your bank to give you a overdraft?
can you sell something..i guess you have a few things.
anyway post a full SoA format ...
An SOA Statement of Affairs
a. list of income
b. a detailed list of spending (include mortgage and secured debt but exclude unsecured debt)
c. a total of spending as above
d. now you can see how much you have to pay debt monthly by forming income minus spending
e. a list of unsecured debts
i.e. debt amount, minimum monthly debt repayment, APR
f. a total of unsecured debt and of monthly unsecured debt repayment
also say if you rent or buying , if so how much is the house worth and how much the mortgage, also your general situation: partner, children, working etc.0 -
Sell something either asap or pawn it
