Iron Forge in Belfast

Options
Hi

This will sound like a funny request, but I am looking someone in Belfast who could beat a cast iron mould for me. The reason I need this is because I want to put a fan above my cast iron stove to blow heat into the room. However, there is no room above my stove to do this.

I think if I could have beaten a stand for the fan, so its head would pop over the back of the stove, with a heat plate extending to cover the back of the stove it could convey enough heat to the foot of the fan to make the fan work.

Any ideas? I'm presently losing huge amounts of heat up above the stove.

  • There is an iron worker who does St Georges Market on a Saturday and Sunday - his stand is near the front entrance and he sits in the middle of the aisles, beating his rings - but he does make larger pieces and might be able to help you. Think his name is Brendan, can't remember more than that, but he is a really nice guy - hope this helps
DJWW - cos we won't let it!
