I have just moved to London and spent over £100 on valid parking permit to legally park on my own street and this is what I get in the first two weeks:

PCN, Towed & Damaged:

I did park on single yellow line I do understand... had to pay £265 to release car.

Second one I do not understand because no yellow line:

Reason: 01 Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours.. but no yellow line?!?!
This is where I f****** live with resident permit !!!

The car is now in garage haven't had car for week now because of damage..
they damage my car doors and central locking.... take it away from my own home...
police drug search for no reason... issue me PCN for no reason... swing my car to tree..
damaged my alloy wheels... take my rights away!!!

Please someone is penalising me!:mad::mad:

There is no yellow line but there is a sign behind your car. What does it say?
The restricted area may just be for permit holders and probably won't need yellow lines.

Although on the first one, instead of taking a picture I'd have been down the stairs and right in the car. They can't tow you away (if i remember correctly) due to health and safety if you're in the car.

I am resident permit this is my home! I took picture of my permit but still issue PCN because of presribed hours but no yellow line?
  • You can park in the following bays:
    • residents' parking bay, if you display a valid resident, teacher or motorcycle permit or have a visitor permit

I have permit and done this as above but still PCN not happy!

    Take a look at:

But it says I can park in bay... doesn't mention about the prescribed hours.

  • thanks savemoney I can't post links because newbie :)
  • I think you should take this over to https://www.pepipoo.com and start a new thread here - http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

You will need to post all the information you have, including a copy of your PCN, both sides, with any reference removed (inc VRN) but leave all other information showing. I would focus on the incident you have been towed for first and just ignore the previous PCN and tow.

You need to post as much information as possible, so the posters there can help you.

    Good luck!
  • I have done that thanks, I'm surprised no one is saying if the second PCN was my fault or not?
