Had a search but could not find a thread. Am I on my lonesome getting married so few shopping days before Xmas?
Circumstances regarding OH's mum have meant moving one of our two ceremonies forward by four months. With the OH taking care of her mum, coupled with work travel commitments I am pretty much planning this all on my own, so wish me luck!
Got off to a flyer last night, deciding to ditch the hotel fixed price deals which all seemed poor value for money and wholly impersonal. Managed to track down a catering company and started work on selecting a buffet menu.
Trying to estimate the right amount of stuff for 130 people of mixed nationalities is tough, though not as tough as finding a suitable venue.
Has been a tough slog swimming through google and firing off emails all day making little headway. Onwards and upwards tomorrow though :T

Hallo!
Wow, sounds like you've got a big task ahead of you, but certainly not impossible
There is a thread on the go over at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/38157734#Comment_38157734 (Anyone else struggling to find a month can check in the 2011/12 wedding links thread - it's a sticky at the top of the forum)
See you there!!0 -
