Litigation????

Hi
The sale of my flat is due to complete mid February.I am two months behind on my first and second charges on the property.
My problem is that CitiFinancial(second charge),have said that unless I pay £655.00(monthly payment) by the 31st January the account will be passed on to litigation(???) and they could stop the sale from going through.
I'm really worried because I can't afford the £655.00 and I really need this sale to go through.The previous settlement figure they gave me also includes a discount in interest,does this go out the window aswell if it goes to litigation?

Litigation is basically just a posh word for legal action. Have you explained to them that the sale is going through and that it's just taking longer than expected?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Yes I have but they're not very understanding.
The trouble is I have been in arrears since August last year and have had two buyers pull out of the sale so this will be third time lucky.
I've been telling them since August that the sale should complete within the next six weeks,so I think they're getting fed up with the same story and probably think I'm lying to get out of paying.
Do you think they would be able to stop the sale?0
