Just back from town and popped into woolies for a new lunchbox for DS. Decided not to bother because it was all cars and bratz expensive ones and he's managed to kill his cars one since starting school in September. Found a plinth on the way out with loads of cheap ones all priced at £1.99! There's all the cereal characters snap crackle and pop, tony tiger, the cocopops monkey, something from kids telly with a pig on.......jesters or janglers or something, bob the builder plastic box with bottle, power rangers, lots and lots and it doesn't appear to be a special offer. Not very respectable for the image conscious older kids but for the 5 year olds around they're fab!

I always get mine from ebay. THe kids love the Disney ones so I try and find them ones that are different to everyone elses, so they dont get mixed up.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0

I switched to the material lunch boxes as my boy was going through 2-3 plastic type ones every term:eek:
I wait until the sale in the Disney store in the summer and then grab 3 then.....one for each term...and they last all year. You get them half price and they last for ages and ages. The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

Mine had lovely ones from Argos, one was eeyore and the handle frayed and frayed then bhroke completely, the boy had Cars but it got stinky so I've washed it in the machine a few times.........very carefully inside a protective bag thing but it decided to split last week.......my fault for washing it so no point trying to take it back. I've tried the hard plastic ones but they just break when dropped (or thrown!) so I'm now refusing to buy the expensive ones. £2 seemed a good enough deal to me..........oh! There was Boo ones too with cutlery it them, looked a funny shape though so I wondered where you'd fit everything....Smokefree since 27-9-20070

Tesco are doing really good ones at the moment.
Either pink or black, no pictures or designs, but very sturdy.
Like the previous OP, my daughter goes through them quickly, and I find the character ones particularly poor quality.
She takes a food flask with a hot meal in every other day, as her school does not have a canteen, and these bags hold that with room for snacks and drinks
Cost about £2.50Sam:happylove0 -

Black one might be just right for the OH, he said he didn't want a Cars one, don't know why as our little 'un says that they're all the rage!!! :rotfl:0
