HI
Hopefully someone can help me here.
With the switchover from Analogue to Digital I need a new Digibox with an aerial output instead of a scart output.
I have a rather old tv, which works brilliantly with no problems, except that it doesnt have any scart connection to put in a digibox with a scart lead.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to buy a digibox with an aerial lead and if so where. As I dont particularly want to buy a new tv when theres nothing one with the one Ive got.
Any advice as always would be appreciated.
Thankyou.

RF Modulator Box
If you've got a Freeview set-top box or a DVD player, and you want to connect it to a TV set or video recorder that doesn't have a SCART socket, then you can buy something called an RF modulator.
RF Modulators are available from maplin.co.uk and from tvcables.co.uk0 -

I am glad you started this thread Josh,I have been wondering about whether or not i need to get an outside aerial erected or not for the digital switch.I have an analogue tv and an inside aerial.I know absolutely nothing about all this digital switchover lark and what i need to complete it...or even where to start.I am quite dreading it all.0

A digibox like the one above is the best way to go, but a TV with a scart would be better. Old style TV's with scarts are getting dumped everyday as people change over to new LCD flat screens.
Check out your local amenity site or post a wanted message on your local Freegle site http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/BelfastUKFreegle/
Freeview is transmitted from 3 main transmitters in N.I. and currently running at reduced power for digital transmissions. As a result unless you have a good line of sight to the transmitter its unlikely an indoor aerial will get all the channels. However that should improve once the old analogue channels are switched off, as it's only at that point the digital signal will be boosted. Towards the end of next year I think.0
