I want to buy an Exercise Bike - Cheaply!

My mother, bless her, has requested an exercise bike for her Birthday. She wants it to be able to tell her the speed and most importantly the distance she has gone. But I have no idea where to start looking, or how much?! It doesn't have to be anything fancy, I doubt she will use it past the first month!

Can anyone give me any suggestions, cheap is good! lol.

Ebay is a good bet for almost new exercise bikes, most people use them for a short while after purchase and then want to get rid of them as they take up so much space!

The trick is to use the advanced search options to find one close to you, they're heavy things so most people offer them for collection only. Because of this they often attract few if any bids.

I bought a Kettler bike that cost hundrends of pounds when new, in excellent condition, for £3.20 this way (and sold it a few months later for £2)!!!

    She`s already got one
    her legs.
Buy her a pair of trainers and tell her to start walking every day for 45 minutes.
It`ll do her far more good than an exercise bike standing unused in the corner of the garage, which is where 99.9% of them end up.
