in It's gone, but was it any good?
Seems like a good price to me, considering it has the VR lens.

    Not it wasn't.

    It was the same camera BUT with the non-VR lens.

    This has a better lens. Worth £20 more for anti-shake.

    A newer model replaced this last year D3100, which gets much better reviews. You really need to let your daughter handle different cameras. My daughter wanted a DSLR camera last year and she set her heart on one brand, until she went to a good camera shop and tried the major brands. After trying them, she changed her mind completely.The one she thought she wanted was much more difficult for her to handle, and had features she didn't want. £300 is a lot to spend when you daughter might prefer a different make.

    you can get the D3100 with the vr lens for £339 at hombase if you use the 15% off code , a good deal from what i've read

    Except there weren't any to buy.

    Argos (same company) has stock, but Homebase don't have any. Bet they come back into stock as soon as the 15% discount has finished...

    it was showing as in stock when i looked earlier , 2 day delivery
