Grits?

Hi everyone, apologies if im posting in the wrong place, or there is already a thread, but does anyone know if any of the supermarkets sell grits? as in the american savoury porridge thing? We had some on our honeymoon in new york in june and fell in love! Ive found them on amazon ect, but shipping is quite expensive

If you search on E**y they have Quaker grits but it is £6.55 per 340g box with free delivery which seems quite expensive.

Coarse polenta is very similar & is usually available very cheaply in Indian supermarkets or can be bought online from sites such as spices of India.

To make proper hominy grits you will have to pay out amazon prices for the lye treated cornmeal.

Not sure where you live, but if it's in a big city, try going down the 'ethnic' aisle in big tescos/asdas.....or as the OP has said, the asian/afro carribean shops as they definitely stock it
