X box and kinect

I want to buy a media streamer and as I have 2 children I thought a console might be the way to go. We already have a Wii but my son would love the kinect.... our lounge isn't set up the tight way to have enough room for it currently but now that lens is coming out I reckon the Xbox is s better bet than the ps3.
The cheapest I can find the 250gb Xbox and kinect bundle is £279. I know that isn't bad as the kinect is £130 on its own but its still a hefty chunk of money.
Is there likely to be better deals closer to Christmas or are there any codes or better deals to be had?
