JUSTICE of the PEACE

Hope you can help? Sorry if this post is in the wrong forum I'm desperate!!

I'm in the process of filling in some documents relating to registration for current employment.

One of the requirements is that the documents are certified be a "Justice of the Peace". Do anybody have any suggestions on how I should go about this??

I'm very confused as to who this person or department may be? or is it like a passport application, where by it can be professional person?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Tim Gamble.

Maybe try ringing your local magistrates court?

    Or check with your employer.

It's a local magistrate. Do you know anyone in your area who is a magistrate?

If not, I think all you can do is to find the name of your Local Magistrates' Court and speak to the Court Clerk, who may be able to help you.

It is another name for a magistrate as the other poster suggested you should call the local court for advice or speak to the employer who may have other people they will accept as signatures.

Possible new employer in Australia, time difference makes communication difficult. If an email does not get answered straight away, you can wait for days.

Will try your idea , thanks.

    Thank ALL,

Have given them a ring, I just have to turn up at 9am at the magistrates with passport etc and get them signed for free!!!

Hope nobody see's me, they will think I've been a naughty boy.

    Thanks again,

    Tim.

I can send off paperwork now, rather than wait another week!!
