Credit card balance transfer while waiting for a mortgage decision?

Hi
We have a balance on a credit card in my husbands name that we would like to transfer over to a blank credit card in my name that has a 0% deal for 16 months. Last week we put in a mortgage application to the Nationwide to re-mortgage. We have had a letter saying that they have instructed solicitors and are arranging for a valuation, and they appear to have credit checked us according to CreditExpert, but I wondered if it would be prudent to wait until we have a yes or no decision from them before moving this balance?
Thanks

A credit card balance is just that. Irrespective of the interest rate, its still money that has to be repaid at some point in time.0

Erm, thanks. I am aware of that- although i wish i was stupid enough to think that our debt would disappear if i moved it, i would spend less time worrying about it.
Maybe i wasn't clear in my question. I wondered if it could have an adverse effect on our mortgage application if i started fiddling about with our finances whilst we were waiting for a decision.
I'll ring the advisor on Monday.0
