Hi. Based on what I have read in this website and the L&C website I am almost tempted not to investigate other morgage brokers and just deal with L&C. Can anyone tell me of their experiences with this and any other broker?
Many Thanks

Most brokers are local small firms who give face to face advice. They come to your home if you want. Do evening visits etc and you can see all the research taking place if you wish. Seeing as there are tens of thousands of local firms around the country the odds of someone using one close to you is unlikely so I dont think that someone posting experience of a mortgage adviser 300 miles away from you would help you.
The L&C model is very much aimed towards the person that is experienced with internet purchasing and doesnt need too much hand holding or need a local contact. A face to face local contact may be happy to have a cuppa and work through things at your pace but when its on the phone, things tend to occur a bit quicker or you are less likely to ask questions. If you know what you are doing, the internet model should be fine. However, when we have seen complaints on the board about L&C in the past its usually not because L&C have done anything wrong but the person wasnt really suited for using a direct internet service and needed a different type of service that a local face to face contact may have been better with.
You should go with the type of service you feel will be best for your circumstances. The deals will be virtually identical either way so cost isnt an issue. Its mostly service and method that is.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
