Extract from the local press:-
Sophie Exelby, receiver of the wreck from the Department of Transport, said it was theft for anyone to take items from the ship found washed up on the beach.
"Those who do salvage goods which turn up on the shore are legally obliged to report it to the salvager of wreck," she said.
So be warned.0 -

Yep, I heard it on the news, too. Hundreds of people get barrels of sherry, bikes, and other stuff, including cosmetics, and even dogs food. They don't mind declaring it, as they assume nobody would bother to get it from them.

Was watching local news tonight (i'm in Exeter) and there was loads of people still loading their cars up with packs upon packs of shampoo, nappies, shoes, police just stood and watched. Was going to go but it's just too cold. they even filmed a brand new 4x4 washed up on the beach! Anyone fancy it?ROCK:staradmin0 -
