bad credit rating

hi, please could someone help, my husband and i are looking into buying our council property, we estimate it to be about £75,000 but with discount should be around £50,000, we both have a poor credit rating, my husband is currently self employed, i just want to know if we would be likely to get a mortgage or not? tia

    Sorry, but that's not enough information to say.

    What do you mean by "poor credit rating"? Some late payments? CCJs? Bankruptcy?

    How much do you and your husband earn? Do you have existing debts?
