need cheap loan + loan question
Hello all i need to take out a loan for about 12k but i am looking at a loan where i can overpay? i dont really know much about loans , i just want a overpayment option + a fair rate. Does anyone know where to start looking? i have considered getting an advance on my mortage but im still not sure whats the best route to take.
Also a couple of questions:
are loans set at a fixed rate or variable
when you apply for a loan do you need to give the reason, and does this reason influence the rate at all?
thanks for you help

Loans can be set and be variable. The set loan interest charges are fixed, the variable loan charges can go up, like Cahoot have done at the present time.
You do have to give a reason, it can be new car, holiday or debt consolidation. This does not influence the rate. The time period of the loan and the amount you want to borrow influences the rate.
Try northen rock for a loan, very good rate at the moment.0
