Starting the mortgage ball rolling

Well, have decided to take the plunge and start to get serious about buying. Been renting same house for 3 years. Rent quite low but not secure, only on SAT.

Think i may just be eligible for Home Advantage assistance (although may earn about £1000 too much!!!!!) Depending on what they use for criteria - literature not that clear.

Already got one agreement in principle from my own bank for £67000. Need to get another 2 so off to see four lenders tomorrow. Prob should have gone to broker but still quite a specialised market so not sure if they know of all who can help.

Houses round here (cheapest) are about £100000 and have no deposit - just all my fees so will need to see if it will work but got to give it a chance. If worst comes to worst, i might have a way to get deposit off family but dont really want to if i can help it.

Saw one house for offers over 82 which would be perfect but think it will go for over 100000. went on market on monday and had 6 notes of interest by thursday.

Once i get accepted onto the scheme, will only have 2 months to have an offer accepted or will have to go through whole thing again. gonna be a struggle and might have to settle for whatever i can get but only way to get on ladder for forseable future.

Big day tom!

Similar offer to my own bank was made so that made number 2. Then off to Abbey - again really nice and actually offered me bit more than the other 2 so thats 3!
