Im not sure if im posting this in the right area if Im wrong please let me know and I will put it somewhere else.
I have two young children 8 and 7 who regullarly use the family computer to play games such as club penguin and binweevils online. They have both asked if they would be allowed there own laptop for christmas as there are alot of rows in our house when they both want to play....All the basically want to be able to do is go online to play these games and others on various childrens websites.
Im not willing to spend a fortune given there ages and whilst looking on ebay came across these netbooks. I havent a clue about computers and was wondering if there were any techie people out there that could let me know if these were ideal for the job...Im hoping so..

I wouldn't buy one personally as it is not branded, it is from outside of the UK & £49 seems too good to be true! Plus, 256mb of RAM is not that much in my eyes but I have never used a netbook. My laptop has 1gb and my boyfriend's has 3gb. Sorry but like I said earlier, it seems too good to be true for me!0

Don't waste your money, it's rubbish.
The operating system, Windows CE, is next to useless and the computer has only got a 2GB hard drive. How long do you think that's going to last?
If you want cheap laptops then you'll need to look on the secondhand market. By all means look on Ebay but make sure that the operating system is going to be one of Windows XP, Vista or 7. Ideally you'll want at least a 40GB hard drive installed as well.
You could try Big Pockets who sell secondhand computers. For example here's an IBM Thinkpad with a 12" screen for £110 including delivery.

If you can't afford that much then you could try your local Gumtree or you might strike lucky by getting a free one (or two) off Freecycle.
