as you say when it does that frees up £157 pm.

people never like including annual costs in their budget on the basis that they have already paid for them i.e. MOT/car tax/parts at a discount, clothes, holiday, presents, xmas (only just gone) etc...
the reason you need to include them is because you are saving up a small amount each month for the NEXT car tax/xmas etc so that when it comes you dont have to use the credit cards but you have in it your savings a/c.0
