i think it would mean half the price of the original price? - for example, if the outfit was to cost £10.00.. you would pay £5.00.

does anyone know if the decorations are half price too please? when you say accessories.. is this meaning decorations?? - My youngest is OBSESSED with the giant spiders they have in the stores that hang from the ceiling.. but i think they were £3.00... i know its not much... but when i have been getting £20 toys items for £2.50... paying the £3.00 for a papers spider seems expensive!! haha. xxProud Mummy to a new little girl - Phoebe... born 11 days overdue on 3rd Jan 2012.0

i went into my local this morning and all the outfits were half price and marked up like this, they also had them not only in the clothing section but also in a seasonal aisle so worth checking both. They had fangs for teeth for 10p, eyelashes for 10p, fake blood for 10p, lots of things were down to 10p, cant remember how much they are normally but 10p you cant go wrong! OO they also had witches hats for 10p too
as you can imagine though all things were going pretty fast at 10p each thing so worth a look 0 -

Clearly this is true. But my point is that what is the "original price". Is it what they were sold at at the majority of the stores in, say, September?sunshinestar101 wrote: »i think it would mean half the price of the original price? - for example, if the outfit was to cost £10.00.. you would pay £5.00.

I can't imagine that they sell many Halloween costumes at any other time of the year other than October, so I don't think it would have been a hardship for them to price themselves out of the market at those times by making the "original price" twice what they are happy to sell them at in order to make them "half price" in October.0 -
Mr T B,pool has a basket of Halloween items, masks, hats etc for 50p an item next to clothes counter0

i get what your saying jimmythewig but to be honest i think most people will look at the sale price and decided if that is a good price to pay for the item, i know i do, i couldnt give a damn if it was £1 more before or £100 before it makes no difference i always decide if the product is worth the sale price otherwise you'd end up buying everything because it 'seems' a good deal!0

All halloween costumes; childrens and adults were £2 in my store this morning. Managed to find the receipt for the one I paid £7.50 for last week and took it back and got the same for £2.0

I completely agree with you. That's how I shop, too.i get what your saying jimmythewig but to be honest i think most people will look at the sale price and decided if that is a good price to pay for the item, i know i do, i couldnt give a damn if it was £1 more before or £100 before it makes no difference i always decide if the product is worth the sale price otherwise you'd end up buying everything because it 'seems' a good deal!
But that is not how many people shop. I know this because...
1. I used to fall for it.
2. People I know fall for it.
3. People in this thread have mentioned stuff being half price without saying how much things were or if they thought they were cheaper here than at other shops.
4. The shops still use the tactic, so it must work.0 -
Adult and kids outfits are £2 in my local metro.0
